Babolat Pure Control rackets are for players with a long and fast swing who are looking for a flexible racket with a longer contact time between ball/racket for perfect control.
According to Babolat, there are two types of players consisting of baseliners whose position on the court differs from each other. First Strikers position themselves mostly inside the court and play the ball on the rise, using the ball speed from their opponent. First Strikers use a precision frame type and include the likes of Ryan Harrison and Samantha Stosur. Punchers play behind the baseline, playing the ball at the top of the bounce and create their own power. Punchers use a racket to generate power and include the likes of Rafael Nadal and Li Na.
The Babolat Pure Control GT fits into Babolat’s First Striker category and is made with 3000 carbon fibres, as opposed to the Pure Storm, which contains 6000, for more flex. It also has GT technology, which consists of a hybrid material combining braided carbon fibres and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racket to improve racket performance. The concentration of Tungsten fibres at various strategic parts of the frame aids control, feel and feel and provides 10% additional energy recovery for even more power.
The pure control GT also contains the patented innovation by Babolat, the Woofer System, which is the first technology that makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball, providing 25% more contact time between the balls and strings. More control equals a comfortable feel.

Choosing the right grip size is a vital part of playing tennis. The right grip size will make your racket feel natural and comfortable.
Use a ruler and measure (in inches) from the crease fold in your hand, to the top of your ring finger. Please see table below:
Note: It is always better to go for a smaller grip size, as you can easily increase your grip size with over grips.
