In 1992, Andre Agassi claimed his first and only Wimbledon title. However, despite this success, Agassi had still yet to find his playing style and struggled with consistency. Since 1989 Agassi had played with Donnay rackets but, seeing his potential, Head signed Agassi to their brand in 1993, which turned out to be a massive coup. After promising to design a racket for their new flagship player, Head launched the Radical series racket, which he continued to use for the rest of his multiple Grand Slam-winning professional career.
Andre Agassi is still synonymous with the Radical brand, although today Andy Murray is the Radical’s most renowned proponent.
Given Agassi’s vibrant and colourful persona, the original design of the Head Radical was, err, radical. Not only did it reflect his image, it also represented trend from the colourful and excessive decade of the eighties. More conservative, toned down versions of the Radical followed but, on its 20th anniversary, Head seem to have gone full circle in fittingly redesigning an illustrious racket with a radical paint job.
The Radical Pro has a higher weight for more power, which makes it the most aggressive Radical in the line, and now incorporates Head’s new Graphene core technology in addition to YouTek technology.
Discovered in 2004, Graphene consists of a single two-dimensional layer of carbon atoms. This material has a breaking strength 200 times greater than steel, which makes it the ultimate substance for creating new HEAD tennis racket frames with exceptional properties. Graphene technology allows for the first time an optimal redistribution of weight in HEAD rackets. Through the use of Graphene in the shaft, the weight in the middle part of the racket can be reduced. Instead, weight can be shifted from the racket shaft to more functionally relevant areas in the tip and grip. This unique construction provides players with an unmatched manoeuvrability and an increased swing weight. In other words, a racket with Graphene is easier to swing and enables even more powerful shots.
YOUTEK Technology infuses d3o a smart material, made from specially designed molecules, which dramatically change when in use. d3o is a soft material that locks together upon racquet impact. Located in the shaft of the racquet, d3o reacts to the needs of a player in nano seconds, providing a softer touch and better feel. Whether your game is aggressive and adventurous or consistent and smooth, YouTek enhances your performance and brings out the best in you.

Measuring Your Grip Size
Choosing the right grip size is a vital part of playing tennis. The right grip size will make your racket feel natural and comfortable.
Use a ruler and measure (in inches) from the crease fold in your hand, to the top of your ring finger. Please see table below:
Note: It is always better to go for a smaller grip size, as you can easily increase your grip size with over grips.
