Wilson Bold Edition

“The Wilson Bold edition embodies the place where the culture of sport, youth culture and performance innovation meet.”

Wilson’s new Bold Edition tennis rackets speak to the youth of the game who stand out from the crowd with their dazzling play, their courageous spirit and their audacious attitude, the very youth that continue to take the game forward as they strive to be the next generation of exciting professionals.

Designed to embody the place where the culture of sport, youth culture and performance innovation meet, the collection features an unflinching black and white pattern across Wilson’s four key tour models used by the likes of Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Gael Monfils, Kei Nishikori and countless other tour players.

The Bold Edition has been released by Wilson off the back of the success of the recent special edition Wilson Camo Collection that featured an all-over camouflage pattern in four different colours.

Whatever your style of play and whatever attributes you look for in a racket, the Wilson Bold Edition includes the Pro Staff 97L (black Wilson script logo), Blade 98S (green Wilson script logo), Ultra 100L (blue Wilson script logo) and Burn 100LS (orange Wilson script logo) to ensure you have plenty of options.

If you play at a higher level with an aggressive game, Wilson puts the Pro Staff 97L in their ‘attacker’ category. This one has a lighter weight than the one Roger plays with, but it still comes with classic Pro Staff precision and feel. It also comes with Countervail for a greater level of precision, consistency and energy.

Next up – also in Wilson’s ‘attacker’ category – is the Blade 98s, which has a control-oriented lightweight frame if you want to play aggressive and hit big with spin. The 98S also features Spin Effect Technology, which increases action on the ball by using fewer cross strings than main.

The Ultra 100L is the light and manoeuvrable ‘all courter’ in the range. The frame also comes with enhanced racket throat geometry (Power Rib technology) at a crucial bending and twisting area of the frame for greater stability and stiffness that results in more power and increased directional accuracy.

The relatively newer Burn model belongs in Wilson’s ‘baseliner’ category. The 100LS has booming power and spin if you like to hit bombs from the back with a light, manoeuvrable frame. And because it has Spin Effect Technology, you’ll be able to let loose and still land it a foot inside the baseline.
